Eugene Delacroix said, “We work not only to produce but to give value to time.” This statement is an affirmation of truth and in many ways has become the common thread throughout my life and my work. We are here but for a brief time. My passion is to utilitze that brief time to create. When the sun sets on that final day, I will know that I have done my best to leave the world with a bit of myself through my art.
I want to constantly strive to become more than I am; I never want to stop experimenting and resolving. There are three things that every creative person must possess to live a full life; the vision to see that, which others cannot, the passion to chase the vision, and the discipline to navigate and resolve each challenge. That too is reflected in my work not only through process but in subject as well. My drive, my passion is to give value to my time and to never forsake the gifts of life and creativity.
